Bullseye Gallery. Portland, Oregon

Sound engineering:
Robert Burns

Here, gallery visitors were invited to break pieces of glass from the work by removing a nail that held the elements in their wall-mounted modules. The sound of the shattering glass was recorded through microphones and played back into the space. Interaction and sound was used to emphasize the relationship between artist, audience, art object, material connotations, and gallery space.
